Installing apps not in the play store

Not all apps are available or accessible from the Google play store.

There are a number of other reputable sources of apps:

• Amazon Appstore for Android

• GetJar

• Slide ME

• F-Droid

• Samsung Apps

and if you just want to find out what everyone thinks is best at the moment try Best Apps Market because it highlights trending content, it has a huge range of categories, and many of the apps are reviewed and tested.

In addition. although more risky, many apps are available to download from the internet.  In order to download them  or just to use the sources above, you need to change some of the settings on your device.  You may then have to download the APK (Android Package File) and run it.
