Downloading Music

You can buy and download music onto your phone or tablet (or computer).  Some items may be free, some may cost money.  Spotify and Deezer are apps you can download which allow you to play music for free with advertising.  However, you can buy the app or you can download music directly from the Play Store.  You will need to have credit or have a bank account linked to your palystore account in order to do this.

All our tablets have accounts, but do they have any credit?

Is Google Play Music on your tablet?

This is how you can get free credit on your tablet.

Having checked your credit, go to the play store and tap on the music category.  Look at the options. Search for or choose your song.  Albums cost a bit more money!  You may be asked if you want to subscribe or pay for a whole album.  Press the 3 dots on the right of the entry to buy the song only.  You may have to enter your playstore account password.  Once downloaded you can just play the music!  The music should play using Google Play Music which should be installed on your device by default. Is there any other music stored on your device?

It is very difficult to identify the location for your music files.  It might be:

/mnt/sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.music/cache/music or
\Android\data\com.google.android.music\files\music

Check out the settings on Google Play Music.
