MINUTES of LAST MEETING:
The Minutes of the meeting held 9th July 2018 were read. BE proposed and JT seconded that they were a true record. All agreed.
MATTERS ARISING:
- Party Liability still to progress. Act.Sec
- Ambassador Programme – as this subject runs right through our intended future progress it would feature as an ongoing Agenda subject – Agreed
SECRETARY’S REPORT:
- Average attendance for this term to date (6 sessions) is 10. The lowest is 9, highest 12.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Bank balance stands at £3161.87. Reserved Funds – £8000.00
Travel expenses are set at £0.45 per mile.
Members reminded that expenses are allowed when conducting Ambassador business.
AMBASSADOR PROGRAMME: (Way Forward)
There was a far ranging discussion among members present – the main topics are as follows:
- Renewal of Tablets – CS recommends GalaxyTab S3 at £375.00.
- Session Material – Themed
- Re-introduce Facebook tutoring asap.
- Internet Banking pros and cons
- Communicating when abroad
- Security&Safety on-line
- Essential to print programme of future Items to be featured
- Member feed-back 15 mins at start of each session
- Action Points to Encourage New Members
- Winter Term to commence February as an ‘Open House’ – Last session 18th. April –No half-term.
- First and Last day of a term to be open house
- Maundy Thursday ‘Drop In’ 1000/1300 – refreshments
- Tuesday evening ‘Chit Chat’ to be bolstered (changed) by a Boot-IT informal drop in with tablets available – roster of members willing to participate.
- Parish News / Stamford Bridge monthly newsletters – information on Winter Term dates plus Open Days – inform by 1st. Week December.
- Information cards (credit card size) to be printed – Obtain permission from ERYC to distribute in Tuesday Market
