The Apps drawer

All your apps are “held” under the Apps icon.  On tapping it you will see a list of all the active apps.  There may be more that one screen of apps (indicated  by the grey/white blocks at the bottom of the screen).  At the top of your screen will be a second tab called widgets (may not be there on later versions of Android – to see them simply tap on a empty area of your home screen).  Often the widgets have some numbers above/beside them which indicate how many “blocks” of the screen theywill take up.  You may have more than one version of the same widget taking up different amounts of room.  You may also have a down arrow on the right hand side of your screen (at the top) which allows you to see only the apps that you have downloaded.
