When you start the tablet you have an opening screen which you have to swipe to “get into” the tablet. This presents you with a “desktop”, sometimes called a home screen. It may actually have the option to “navigate” to other screens and there will be apps and widgets on them.
Additionally there will be other notification areas on the screen.
There are a number of key apps including the Play Store, Settings, Internet and Apps.
