An account on your tablet and Google Play

Using a tablet or a smartphone without an account (gmail for android, itunes for apple) renders the device farily useless.  Not having it able to connect to the internet does the same.

You need the account so that you can download apps and make use of the numerous features the device uses.  Many apps also require you to login so they can keep you updated.

So, what is an account?  In this instance, it is really an email address and to use an android devices, it is best to have a gmail account linked to your device.

Have a look at the accounts on your tablet/phone.  Do you have more than one?  Do you know the passwords for them?

Have you looked at Google Play? Can you see if there are any apps NOT installed on your device, but linked to your account.

Can you delete an app from your screen?  Has it deleted th app from your device?  Has it deleted the app from your account? Have a look at: https://boot-it.org.uk/the-apps-drawer/
