Starting with a new tablet

Our tablets have been used for over 18 months now.  So to start this new session we are going to reset them to their orignial factory condition.

Before doing this, is there anything that needs to be kept?

When they are reset, they will start up and then prompt for a gmail account which is essential for Android based devices. If we don’t have one, we can set one up at this stage.  If we are going to use an existing account, take note of it (and the pasword) and any other accounts that need to be kept.

Make sure you have a backup of everything you want.  Check that the backup files and any other data exists elsewhere!

1. Go to settings.
2. Tap backup and reset.
3. Choose Factory data reset.
4. Follow the options – choose with care!
