Microsoft Office

This is the most commonly used software product in the world (for office work- over a billion users) and a new version is now produced every 3 years.  The next version is due in 2016.

The next version of Windows, version 10 is due in 2015.

Microsoft Office come in a number of versions, defined by date (2003,2007, 2010, 2013) and by bundles which group different ranges of products.

A one month sample product comes bundled with many new computer purchases.  You can then purchase any from the range of bundles.

Office 365 is the subscription version of Microsoft Office meaning whichever bundle you choose, you have to pay for it every 12 months.  Additionally, everything is managed and can be “operated” in the “cloud”.

Microsoft themselves provide a substantial number of training resources for Office: http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/support/microsoft-office-2003-2007-2010-training-FX010056500.aspx

Youtube also has numerous videos for Microsoft Office. Just type in the subject you want to know about in the search box.

All Microsoft software can be used without a mouse with keyboard shortcuts.  A full list (and there are hundreds) can be found at:
