Both these apps have been updated since we last looked at them. Google maps in particular can now easily download maps for viewing offline. You may still need to use the OK maps instruction or you can go directly to the menu.
Have you noticed the “explore this area” option?
Get directions to go somewhere and then start using them…
The iPad doesn’t have map saving built in, but you can download google maps for iPad which does have it.
Google Earth can be a little slow to load up. Can you go to a big city and have a look around the streets?
