Downloading photos from Flickr

Flickr provides everyone with a terabyte  of disk space to save their own images.  There are billions of photos on Flickr.  All images on the internet are subject to copyright and Flickr makes it easy to to assign a variety of copyright licencing options to photos.  so if you need an image which you can use legally Flickr is a good place to start.

If you want to use any of these images, then it is advisable to take note of the licences especially when using them in a public environment.

When you search for photos on Flickr you can specify what type of licence in addition to the subject.  To do so choose advanced search.

When you have found an acceptable image you can download it.  To do so in Android you may have to first view the image and choose to view all sizes.  You will then be given the option to download the photo.  When downloaded it will be available in your gallery in the downloads folder.
